Position Overview
To manage and lead a buying team to continuously improve ranges and promotions to
exceed sales and margin targets. Develop a category plan that supports delivery of the
customer plan and customer promises of ‘I can get what I want’ and ‘the prices are the
best’.

Essential Job Roles:
1. Develop Category Strategy to achieve Sales/Profitability Target, and maximize market share.
2. Develop assortment frequently including Brands, Products & Agencies to ensure freshness and improve profitability.
3. Assist category head with budget set ups to manage P&L as per business requirement.
4. Train, coach & develop team members to deliver in line with business requirements.
5. Drive promo strategy through direct team & support functions to ensure business objectives are met.
6. Develop advertising & marketing strategy; implement through marketing.
7. Manage Order & Replenishment process ensuring an optimal inventory, availability and aged are in control.
8. New Product Development & Sourcing for Own Brands.
9. Follow & analyze market trends to ensure competitiveness in assortment and pricing.
10. Work with service & support teams constantly to improve business processes and increase customer satisfaction.
11. Online category development and promo strategy development to ensure competitiveness with market & grow online business.
12. Manage Supplier Relation, agency & non agency. Range development , negotiate commercial terms , promotional / marketing activities , other operating incomes
13. In store layout, display & space management/execution via planogram and stores visits.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
- Bachelor Degree in Business preferred
- In-depth knowledge of and experience in managing a Consumer Electronics Category
- At least 3-5 years’ experience within Electronic retailing with at least 8 years Category Management experience
- Professional development in retail strategy / category management
- Excellent analytical skills and aptitude to draw out plans and assess accurately the market needs for the category
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship building skills to maximise opportunities with suppliers
- Strong negotiation skills
- Organizational leadership skills
