Job Description:

 Basic Function and Scope:
Carries out various activities related to promoting KAC passenger sales in Kuwait Region. Includes assisting in compiling sales information, analyzing, allocating and achieving sales plan and targets, visiting clients/agents to promote sales, arranging for reservation/preparation , providing special booking facilities and traffic handling for inclusive tours and monitoring KAC agents productivity.

Tasks and Duties :
a. Assists assigned supervisor in compiling the information pertaining to sales promotion activities achieved by assigned area. Includes analyzing sales reports and clients cards, collecting related data and preparing necessary statistical reports to be used in further planning activities.
b. Assists Supervisor in analyzing and achieving assigned sales promotion plans. Includes receiving a copy of approved sales plan and targets, assisting Supervisor in allocating targets to Sales Representatives in assigned area, following up on their performance, analyzing major deviation from targets and drafting reports recommending corrective actions.
c. Visits IATA and non-IATA Travel Agencies to promote related sales and collect information for monitoring their productivity and practices of other carriers and their agents. Assists in solving KAC agent’/clients’ problems and coordinates with reservation and traffic staff to provide booking facilities and special traffic handling for inclusive tours organized by KAC agents. d. Visits Ministries, Government’s corporations, commercial houses, oil companies, other airlines, unions, various associations, sports clubs, business men, VIP’s and other prospective clients to promote sales to achieve established sales targets.

Requirement:

a. Completion of Secondary (12 years) education plus 2 years of formal training in commercial discipline.
b. 4 years’ experience in airline ticketing and reservation, including 1 year formal training and the successful completion of ticketing, reservation and airline sales training courses, 2 years of which as Sales Representative.

 

Skills:

Good knowledge of English.

Job Description:

Job Description:

When Assigned As Officer. Traffic :
i. Checks-in KAC and other carriers’ passengers and baggage at Kuwait Airport check-in counters. Includes checking passenger ticket fare and flight details and passport for validity and visa availability, advising Supervisor of any irregularity thereto. Should know visa requirements for all countries. Hands passport and immigration form duly stamped with flight number to passenger for completion. Secures baggage on the scale, takes weight readings and indicates weight on the ticket. Secures necessary labels (Carriers’, First Class, Handle with Care, etc.) and sticks baggage identification tags on baggage. Sticks tag number on the related ticket, detaches ticket coupons and hands to passenger. Operates conveyor belt to transport baggage to sorting area.

When Assigned As Officer. Ramp :
 i. Receives a copy of Loading Instruction Report (LIR) from Load Planner and inspects aircraft to ensure availability of space as specified in the LIR. Includes ensuring the availability of support manpower and ground handling equipment such as, conveyor belts, high loaders, transporters, dollies, Ground Power Units (GPUs), Air Conditioning Units (ACUs), Air Starter Units (ASUs), push backs and ensuring that catering high loaders are serviceable and positioned properly under the aircraft for the safe movement of baggage and cargo to and from the aircraft.
ii. Advises baggage sorting staff of number of Unit Loading Devices (ULDs) i.e. containers and igloos needed for wide-bodied aircraft’s (747, A310-200, etc.). Includes, preparing containers and igloo labels specifying class (First/Economy) and destination and ensuring the ULDs have been labeled accordingly.

When Assigned As Officer. Baggage Services :
i. Receives Property Irregularity Reports ( PIRs ) from Supervisor following time limit expiration (72 hours) for outstation handling of lost baggage incidents. Checks folder to ensure all required documentation is included (Lost Baggage Report, item description, costs and ticket coupons) and verifies lost baggage weights against coupon. Notes missing items for Supervisor’s follow up with originator to obtain any additional or missing information.
ii. Enters details of lost or on-hand baggage into ACTS through S.I.T.A. system, and attempts to locate or match requests accordingly. Includes accessing ACTS system and attempting match according to descending numeric hierarchy of match probability (i.e. first match baggage numbers, second name, third bag description, etc.) and requests baggage from system accordingly.  Refers low probability matches to Supervisor.

Requirement:

  • High School education, preferably a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 2 year’s experience in airport operation with an airline, including Ticketing and airline sales courses, including 1 year of formal training on specialized traffic handling and ticketing.

Job Description:

Basic Function and Scope:

Plans, develops and directs the provision of technical and electronic communications and the development, monitoring and maintenance of Corporation computerized reservations services for any private, public or co-hosted reservation system. Plans future equipment and network installations and expansions to ensure continuous computer link data processing, telex and Societe International Telecommunications Aeronautique (SITA) message switching. Monitors installation and operation of necessary equipment and networks, and supervises user liaison, systems analysis, programming and support of any private, public or co-hosted reservation system services for KAC and outside operations.

Tasks and Duties :
a. Supervises the activities of assigned personnel in the Communications Division. Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level established by Management for the position.
b. Participates in Corporation’s Information Technology Services forward planning, and prepares plans for network of computer sets and telecommunications links of 3 sites to satisfy intermediate and long term requirements of the KAC and outside users in data processing and message switching. Includes estimating manpower and equipment requirements, preparing and monitoring division budgets, and evaluating new systems and equipment available, including visiting vendors or other user companies’ locations to witness and report feasibility for Corporation use. Assists in establishing contract requirements for equipment purchase, training and services, monitors performance of vendors and consultants and reports to Management.
c. Directs and coordinates the maintenance of various equipment linked to various minies, such as visual display units (VDUs), graphic plotters, printers, modems, peripheral equipment and cable network, ensures the planning, installation and maintenance of telex systems. Also directs the preparation of schedules for planned maintenance programmes, including determining daily work schedules and priorities to ensure that equipment is kept in good working order.

 

Requirement:

a. B.Sc. in Electronic Communications Engineering or equivalent.
b. 12 years’ experience in Electronic Telecommunication and full understanding of computer hardware systems.

Skills:

– Very good knowledge of high level protocols, CP and access methods.
-Very good knowledge of English
