Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant with a strong background in ThoughtSpot, SQL, and either Tableau or Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience, including expertise in data warehousing, data modeling techniques, and data governance. Additionally, experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery is required. This role involves working closely with our analytics team to design, develop, and implement BI solutions that drive business decisions.

Job Responsibilities

•    ThoughtSpot Expertise: Utilize ThoughtSpot to create, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports.
•    Data Governance: Implement and maintain data governance practices using ThoughtSpot.
•    Secondary BI Tool: Develop and manage dashboards and reports in either Tableau or Power BI.
•    SQL Mastery: Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases.
•    Data Warehousing: Design, implement, and maintain data warehouse solutions to support BI initiatives.
•    Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models to ensure data integrity and performance optimization.
•    Cloud Data Platforms: Work with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
•    Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
•    Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources to provide comprehensive insights.
•    Performance Tuning: Optimize BI solutions for performance and scalability.
•    Documentation: Document BI solutions, data models, and data flows.

Candidate Requirements

Required Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or similar quantitative STEM field
•    Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in BI and data analytics.
•    ThoughtSpot: Proven experience with ThoughtSpot.
•    Data Governance: Experience implementing data governance practices with ThoughtSpot.
•    SQL: Advanced proficiency in SQL.
•    Secondary Skillset: Strong experience with either Tableau or Power BI.
•    Data Warehousing: Expertise in designing and implementing data warehousing solutions.
•    Data Modeling: Proficiency in data modeling techniques and best practices.
•    Cloud Platforms: Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
•    Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Certifications: Relevant certifications in BI tools or data management.

Good To Have Skills:

IT Lead – Point of Sales

Job Summary

The role would lead a team of developers for the operations and support of existing digital initiatives and future digital initiatives.

The Technical Lead would own and manage the design of the IT landscape of the POS and would be responsible for establishing the scope of the development, setting down architectural principles and vision and for ensuring the rigor and integrity of the enterprise architecture, together with associated deliverables.

Should have experience in leading development projects with good understanding of retail business framework, technical architecture, deployment processes and integration of the ERP.

The primary responsibility is to perform continuous assessment on the systems and improvise, fulfill the gaps where applicable.
Introduce & maintain the operational process to address the pain points of Business to improvise and ensure the applications are secure throughout and the on-going issues are addressed.

This role will be based in Kuwait, managing the local team & development partners.

Job Responsibilities

•    Development of web solution architecture and system framework and lead the team of developers in delivering the solution.
•    Provide consulting and development support in enhancing the current system with new features/functionalities.
•    Responsibility involves performing core development tasks tailored to meet the specific requirements of business projects.
•    Establishing and maintaining effective engagement with senior Business managers of Retail and IT units in Alghanim.
•    Provides leadership in the development of technical skills in others through active knowledge sharing.
•    Introduction of structured techniques and ensure that the team adheres to the design and development methodologies.
•    Developing technology roadmaps relevant for the business and help in timely execution.
•    Long and medium term systems architecture strategic planning and implementation
•    Setting standards and policies to govern the architecture and design of solutions delivered by vendors.
•    Ensure that standard systems features are explored fully, and realistic options are offered prior to any development and modification work.
•    Providing oversight in aspects of applications requirements, deployment, development and Maintenance.
•    Source, negotiate & manage 3rd Party suppliers & partners and forge partnerships with them for new technologies from long term perspective.
•    Lead aspects of applications selection and implementation from IT perspective

Candidate Requirements

•    A bachelor’s degree in engineering/science/IT coupled with solid technology background in web/software development.
•    At least 7 years of experience in development of architecture specifications, object and data modelling, database design, programming and implementation support using Microsoft latest .Net technology.
•    Should be highly proficient and skilled in N-tier Web application & Web API development, 3rd party integrations and have a good knowledge of UML.
•    Design and maintain database structures, including SQL Server.
•    Develop and maintain n-tier MVC web applications and Web APIs.
•    Integrate third-party systems and services.
•    Preferred to have functional knowledge or experience working on Point of Sale and ERP Application
•    Preferred to have knowledge of .NET Applications integration with SAP Functional modules.
•    Expertise in HTML, CSS, XML, Bootstrap CSS, and UI design and Reporting
•    Develop and maintain n-tier MVC web applications and Web APIs and Windows Desktop Applications
•    Strong experience in GIT version control usage.
•    Should be able to manage end to end software development cycle i.e., Requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment etc.
•    Should have experience in managing the development team.
•    Experience in Vendor management.
•    Experience in doing analysis of 3rd party tools and applications for utilization.

Make sure the Database is up to date and conduct DB maintenance periodically.

Job Responsibilities

Oracle Symphony POS System Management:
•    Oversee the daily operations of the Oracle Symphony POS system.
•    Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability.
•    Coordinate with Oracle support for any advanced troubleshooting and system updates.

  • Hospitality Management:
    •    Ensure the POS system is configured to meet the needs of our F&B operations.
    •    Customize and optimize the POS system to improve customer service and operational efficiency.
    •    Manage user accounts and access permissions for the POS system.
  • Inventory Management:
    •    Integrate the Oracle Symphony POS system with inventory management software.
    •    Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
    •    Develop and implement inventory management best practices.
  • Technical Support and Training:
    •    Provide technical support to staff for Oracle Symphony POS and inventory management systems.
    •    Conduct training sessions for new employees and ongoing training for existing staff.
    •    Create and maintain documentation for system processes and procedures.
  • Project Management:
    •    Lead and participate in projects related to system upgrades, new feature implementations, and process improvements.
    •    Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
  • Vendor Management:
    •    Act as the primary point of contact with Oracle and other related vendors.
    •    Manage vendor relationships and service contracts to ensure optimal support and services.

Candidate Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    •    Minimum of 7 years of experience working with Oracle Hospitality systems, particularly Oracle Symphony POS.
  •  Strong understanding of on-premises Oracle solution and Cloud based oracle solution
    •    Strong understanding of inventory management systems and processes.
    •    Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    •    Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
    •    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    •    Experience in the F&B industry is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:
•    Certification in Oracle Hospitality or related fields.
•    Experience with database management and SQL.
•    Familiarity with other F&B industry software and systems.
•    Experience administering Oracle Databases

Working Conditions:
•    This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to support system updates or resolve critical issues.
•    Must be able to travel to different company locations as needed.
