Reinsurance Manager

Job Summary
Responsible for developing and executing reinsurance strategy to ensure that all risks acceptances are protected by proper reinsurance arrangement at optimal cost (FGA, Marine, WC & Group Life & Medical)
Job Responsibilities
• Negotiate and arrange reinsurance placements (Treaty, Facultative, XOL)
• Annually review current reinsurance programs and program structures and evaluate alternatives, formulates options, and recommend changes (e.g., enhancements in the treaties)
• Prepare the required renewal information including statistics, risk profiles, top risks, underwriting philosophy, and major losses, etc.
• Develop adequate controls and reports to monitor reinsurance performance
• Work with Underwriting department to optimize Reinsurance treaty & facultative placement
• Underwrite Inward Reinsurance
• Build network within the local insurance community and cooperate on Inward and Outward Facultative Reinsurance.
• Train, coach, and serve as a reinsurance technical resource to underwriters, sales and claim accessors
• Liaise with Finance Department for remittance of reinsurance premiums in accordance with the contract requirements
• Set up reinsurance contract (treaty and facultative) in a system.
• Monitor the reinsurance register to ensure risks are correctly allocated into the relevant treaties
• Prepare the required reports for different stakeholders such as company management, regulatory compliance etc.
• Monitor and update credit rating records of all reinsurers.
• Perform due diligence when working with new Reinsurers and Reinsurance Brokers
• Review the placing slips, cover notes and wordings
• Prepare RI Application
• Understand products thoroughly and be able to explain to Reinsurance brokers and Reinsurers
• Strictly follow Reinsurance guidelines and SOP. Also adjust them when it is necessary.
• Continuously improve Reinsurance operation process.
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• Certification in Insurance (FIII /ACII/AINS/CPCU/AHIP /LOMA/CRIS/ARe/ARM or their equivalent shall be an added advantage)
• Multiple years of experience in Underwriting and Reinsurance of General Insurance (Marine, Fire, A&H, and Miscellaneous) with insurance company, Reinsurance broker or Reinsurer
• Sound relationship and leadership skills, policies, and procedures
• Strong in analytics and numerical skills
• Fluent English, advantageous if Arabic speaking
• Microsoft office competency
• Accuracy and attention to detail, Account Planning & Management, Strong Analytical and problem-solving skill
• Good Negotiation and interpersonal skills, Excellent communication and presentation skill

Visual Merchandising Manager

Job Purpose
The candidate will lead visual team in development of new stores designs, in-store merchandising concepts, visual displays, and seasonal product calendars, achieving a best-in-class shopping experience and visually attractive store journey.
Essential Job Roles
- Lead the Visual Merchandising team in creating, establishing, and ensuring an optimal visual level in the store contributing to commercial objectives of Safat Home.
- Implement and innovate upon store layout plan to best present the product range
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing environment for our customers
- Plan and execute effective visual merchandising strategies
- Utilize space planning tools to ensure simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency in store design
- Setting and maintaining standards and procedures with the VM’s and store teams
- Create Partnerships across multiple departments to maintain and update displays to continue seasonality and relevance to product calendar
- Analysis of current VM techniques, manuals, policies, and procedures and set up the standards and clear direction for stores to follow
- Maintaining and updating of detailed Planograms for all stores
- Drive shop-floor transformation
- Support with decisions regarding new sites and stores in terms of layout, functionality, space, and structure
- Contribute to Commercial Projects within Safat Home to include new stores, refits, new concepts, redesign, etc.
- Accountable for recruiting, developing, and training of the visual merchandising team
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
- 10 years’ experience in Home Furnishing Retail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior design or equivalent.
- Team builder can build an efficient team around her/him
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects with strong attention to details.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of trends, styles of home-furnishing
- Creativity and ability to work with styles and wide product range
- Understanding of how to ascertain information regarding Life at home and how to show the solutions in the stores
- Ideally with Interior design competence and relevant technical PC software skills

Gaming Consultant

Job Summary
The Gaming Consultant is responsible for enhancing the gaming section’s customer experience by providing expert advice on gaming accessories, consoles, and products. He/She is responsible for assisting customers visiting the showrooms, promoting XCITE available products, using upselling techniques to ensure maximized exposure of all product offerings, and providing feedback on consoles and PCs, top selling games, accessories, and any other gaming product offerings.
Job Responsibilities
The role of the Gaming Consultant will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities:
- Stay informed and up to date on all gaming news, new releases, and build knowledge on all hardware platforms or online games.
- Ensure customers of the gaming section are attended to and provided with all required assistance.
- Provide feedback on gaming consoles and other hardware and answer customer questions.
- Provide feedback on top charting games, accessories and answer customer questions pertaining to these items/products.
- Responsible for the look and feel of the gaming section and ensure all items are available and stocked.
- Provide customers with information on related products available in store to ensure upselling opportunities are maximized.
- Complete daily routine checks of product pricing displays and merchandising guidelines.
- Conduct weekly competitors visit and report on pricing/range variations.
- Report on damaged display, disconnected and dis-functional items to section head.
- Maintain and stage a gaming demonstration area within the store for key software releases, and demo games to customers when appropriate.
- Contribute to team effort by cross-selling and helping to achieve store KPIs.
- Keeping all company information, including sales figures, strictly confidential.
- Report to the Showroom Supervisor and ensure that the employee Code of Conduct and HR policy are followed and upheld in stores.
